Candle Burning Instructions
Read the warning label on the bottom of the container before first use. Trim wick to 1/4” before every light. During the first burn, allow the entire top layer of wax to liquify, to prevent “channeling” from occurring during future uses. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Candle Wax Removal Instructions
When you are finished with your candle remove as much of the wax as you can with a damp rag. If necessary soften remaining wax with a hair dryer then wash with soap and water.
Seed Paper Instructions
Soak seed paper wrap in water overnight before planting. Fill your ceramic pot 3/4 of the way with soil. Tear seed paper into small pieces and place on soil, then lightly sprinkle soil on top to fully cover. Keep moist until seed paper sprouts, then water as needed. The paper contains 11 different varieties of wildflower seeds. You should see sprouts within 24-48 hours but some of the varieties take 3 weeks to germinate. Keep plants in front of a sunny window.
Who makes the candles?
All of the candles are hand poured in small batches in our studio in Toledo, Ohio. We only use the highest quality waxes, wicks and fragrance oils.

What types of seeds are in the seed paper for each pot?
Our seed paper contains a blend of wildflower seeds which has a 70% germination rate. So even if you don’t have a green thumb, you’ll have a good shot at getting these to grow. Seed Variations Included: Candytuft, Corn Poppy, Five Spot, Catchfly, English Daisy, Baby Blue Eyes, Siberian Wallflower, Scarlet Flax, Zinnia, Sweet William Pinks, Gloriosa Daisy, Spurred Snapdragon, and Black-Eyed Susan.
Are the wildflower seeds in the label toxic to animals?
The bad news, yes, some of the wildflowers seeds in the blend are unsafe for animals. The good news, all of the wildflowers are perennials and can be planted outdoors in the spring!
Does Hyggelight make the pottery?
Our pottery is handmade, just not by us. We order all of our pots from a distributor who collects them from all over the world.
